Speaker: :

Richard Koehler is CEO of Visual Data Analytics and a certified professional hydrologist with over 40 years' experience. Now retired, he was formerly National Training Coordinator for Hydrologic and Geospatial Sciences for NOAA's National Weather Service. Richard holds a Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. in Watershed Management from the University of Arizona, and an additional M.S. in Hydrographic Sciences from the US Naval Postgraduate School. His research focuses on alternative methods for time series analysis of environmental data and associated data visualizations.

Abstract:

The presentation demonstrates innovative data visualization techniques using an unusual application of GIS analysis concepts. Rather than using geospatial data, the approaches discussed are applied to temporal data sets on surface water, groundwater and groundwater recharge. The result is a geotemporal information system.

The data to be presented by Mr. Koehler was provided by CentrEau student member Walter Leonard Antolinez Quijano !

The presentation will be in English
