Quote CentrEau
For any public mention or representation, you must display the CentrEau logo. It is also requested that you display the FRQ logo.
If the document does not allow the CentrEau logo to be displayed, the name CentrEau must appear clearly as a project partner, but it is not necessary to mention the full name of the center (Quebec Center for Water Management Research).
Example: "This project was funded (in whole or in part) by CentrEau, supported by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Secteur nature et technologies."
Writing
CentrEau is an organization that strives for inclusivity and accessibility, which is why inclusive writing, also known as gender-neutral writing, is used in all CentrEau-related writing and communications.
Here are some guidelines to follow to comply with CentrEau's inclusive writing policy.
Procedures to follow
-
Use the doublet: Name both forms;
-
Use ONLY parentheses as a truncated form to add the feminine form. Example: author(e), researcher(se), etc.;
-
Use a collective noun (group, community, staff, etc.);
-
Use a gender-neutral noun (same form for both masculine and feminine);
-
Refer to people by a name that corresponds to their position or administrative unit;
-
Use neutral pronouns.
Please note that these procedures are for writing in French.
