The NEIGE site aims to help improve the estimation of water inputs during the winter period by perfecting methods for measuring snow in forest environments in the boreal biome. It allows to evaluate the hourly, bi-daily and daily sub-capture of solid precipitation for different types of precipitometers and draftscreens installed at Forêt Montmorency; develop equations using usual meteorological parameters to allow debiasing of raw solid precipitation data according to the devices and draftscreens used; compare the effectiveness of devices for estimating the water equivalent of snow contained in the snowpack; promote the sharing of data and results between stakeholders through knowledge transfer activities and thematic workshops.
